Victoria is home to one of the most talented, highly regarded Canadian Jazz musicians, with a penchant for exceptional entertainment. The internationally-acclaimed Dixieland Express will be setting their fingers to flight, their toes to tapping, and our smiles to maximum shine for the second Saturday in November.

Solomon Douglas packages passion, wit, experience, talent, and drive into an incredible Jazz musician and band leader. We have longed to bring Solomon back since 2009. It has been nearly two years, which, in our opinion, is one point nine years too many.

Victoria Lindy Exchange - March 25th to 27th, 2011
Several months in the making, riding the waves of an exciting blend of Swinging Jazz, is an event that is years overdue. Beginning Friday, March 25th, Victoria hosts its first ever Lindy Exchange! On Saturday, March 26th, join us at Nothin' But Swing for the second night of this amazing Friday-Saturday-Sunday extravaganza.

Swing of War - March 12th, 2011
The third annual holding of the Swing-Of-War Competition, everyone is welcome! In addition to a regular evening of social dancing, there will be three competitions held throughout the night, including:
Amateur Jack and Jill
For people who have never competed before out-of-town or who have never placed first in a Victoria dance competition. You will be paired up with various partners for the preliminary dance round. During the finals you will be paired up to compete as a couple. If you've never competed before this is for you!Cost: $5 per person
Strictly Lindy
For couples who want to compete together. Open to all dancers. Anything goes: high-flying aerials, crazy spins, and amazing maneuvers. Bring your A-Game as the judges will be watching!Cost: $10 per couple
Jedi Swing
Open to everyone. Similar to Jack and Jill, but blindfolded! Competitors cannot see during this competition. No visual leads, no secret eye twitches, and no talking! Guardians will prevent collisions. Prepare for a wacky, fun-filled, and downright ridiculous display of what happens when the lights go out!Cost: Free

We hired a band and you lauded in applause. We tried it again and 80 strong attended. We packed the room with the Dixieland Express. The Swing Dance Association of Victoria is now pleased, proud, and overjoyed to present the Belvedere Broadcasters!

The Original Flying Saucers - March 27th, 2010
Grab your coats, and don't forget your hats! For you, this March 27th, we have a live band playing at Nothin' But Swing! Band nights are the best times to entice your friends into testing the Swing dancing waters. With the students in full bloom, new Red Hot Swing class schedules, and Swing-of-War on the same night, this dance will be no exception to our past vibrant, energy-charged band nights.

During the band night, a dance competition will be held.
Prizes
Tickets to: Lindy Bout, Victoria Hot Jazz Jubilee, and the Chilliwack Jazz Festival. Also, Red Hot Swing vouchers, Nothin' But Swing passes, and cash prizes.
Competitions
Amateur Jack & Jill. No partner required. In the preliminary
round, dancers will be randomly paired and dance to multiple songs with
different partners. In the finals, paired partners will compete as a
couple in a spotlight-style dance. Contestants must not have entered
out-of-town Lindy Hop competitions or won locally.
Entry fee: $5 per person.
Open Strictly Lindy. An anything goes, no holds barred competition.
Enter as a couple. Category is open to everyone as long as you have a
partner.
Entry fee: $5 per person.
Solo Jazz. An anything goes competition solo style. Time to take
the spotlight and shine. Category is open to everyone. No partner allowed.
Entry fee: free.
